This was my first time eating in the restaurant. The service was amazing! Very helpful with explanation of the different choices on the menu . The appetizers of Tontones Rellenos were terrific and something new we tried. I would recommend it. My entree was the grilled chicken in Garlic Sauce, the chicken was sliced in pieces and in the Garlic and wine sauce and I loved it! If you haven't had authentic Cuban Food you should definitely go to Rincon Criollo! Plenty of parking in the back and great Coffee!

I finally decided to come here 2 weeks before the restaurant was gonna close down this location! The service was on point and the decor is very homey! I loved the portraits everywhere. The food was pretty good & the sangria was alright. I had the ropa vieja & the white rice/black beans were soo good! The breaded chicken cutlet & the porkchops were very tasty as well. I'm definitely happy that I finally decided to dine here.

What can I say? A restaurant doesn't stay open for 47 years for no reason! Rincon Criollo has been serving fantastic Cuban cuisine for all these years!! The problem is, everyone takes it for granted that they will always be there. Well Surprise! Go while you still can because they will be closing permanently very soon! Their last day will be 9/21/23! But the good news is (for those in Long Island), they will be opening their new restaurant in New Hyde Park!! (Can't wait)!! For those in Corona, Queens, the closing of Rincon Criollo will be a huge loss! I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to participate in a Yelp event here, and the Cuban Sandwich and plantain chips I had was fantastic! The Cuban sandwich came with a side of garlic oil which was so garlicky that it kept the vampires away for days! Haha. It was simply Garliclicious!! And the plantain chips were great also; especially dipped in the garlic oil. I had never had a meal at Rincon Criollo before, so after trying the Cuban sandwich, and hearing that they are closing permanently soon, I immediately made a reservation for 10 and brought my friends over for a Cuban Feast! And what a feast we had! Everyone raved about the food and we may even return before they close on 9/21/23. Tonight's Cuban Feast shared by 5ppl: ($27pp including tax & tip): - Rincon Criollo Tortillas - Lechon Asado - Ropa Viejo - Pechuga Enrollada - Camerones al Ajillo Sides: - Moroe y Cristianos - Maduros - Yucca con Mojo - Tostones - Frijoles Negros The food was delicious and plentiful; so incredibly satisfying. Service was fantastic. I hope to return one more time before they close but if not, I'll definitely be going to their new restaurant in New Hyde Park when they open in Oct 2023! Farewell and Thank You to the Old; and Welcome and Good Luck to the New!

RATING: 7/10 PRO TIP: This place's last day is Sep 21 so come before you miss out! They are moving to LI. Get the ropa vieja and the cuban sandwich but if you're ordering takeout, you may want to reheat the sandwich. ROPA VIEJA** My favorite dish of the meal, with tender shreds of pork in a rich, savory stew that goes perfectly with rice and beans. Warms the soul, but perfect even on a hot summer day. yum yum yum! OXTAIL STEW** A table favorite, although I don't love oxtail but my family who loves oxtail said this was their favorite dish. There def was deep flavor coming from the meat and this is one of their more popular ordered items. PALOMILLA STEAK Good, though a bit tough. Nice oniony flavor CUBAN SANDWICH One of their apparent claims to fame, their cuban sandwich, which I had to reheat because I ordered delivery - however, once reheated, nice and crispy, and that nice crunchy tartness from the pickle comes through. Good cuban, though not sure if I could call it the best I've had. DESSERT TRES LECHE - really good, and not as sweet as I thought it was going to be! Moist, but not soggy. The cream is nice and lighter than I thought it'd be. FLAN - just okay, not super impressed but the caramel sauce has a nice deep browned flavor to it but the whole thing is a bit sweet. RANKING: GOOD (terrible / bad / ok / GOOD / great / excellent)

This place is amazing. Authentic Cuban cuisine, family owned & operated, cozy vibe with great service. They have been around for years, but unfortunately they are closing up at the end of the month and relocating to Long Island.
